There are so many kinds of power inside and around us, and this
energy means life itself. Who hasn't got any power, can not live.
This is the idea of the new Bolyki Brothers CD. There are 11 tracks
on the CD, and each track has a subtitle: Power of...
Power of imagination
1. I can only imagine
A very famous MercyMe song about the heaven
Power of incarnation
2. Shepherds around the manger
It's a song for the little Jesus in the manger, like a lullaby in
middle-eastern style.
The song was written for a big performance called 'Mary, love in the
sky'
Power of dreams
3. River of dreams
Everybody knows the song of Billy Joel.
Now here is the a cappella version.
Power of forgiveness
4. Written in the sand
This is a song which has a very deep message, and it is very important
for us.
This song was written by a Hungarian songwriter, our friend: Béla
Pintér.
You can read, and understand well the lyrics, just click here!
Power of nature
5. The solution
A song from the jungle. There are lots of sounds of animals, speedy
tempo, and a feeling of a dance around the fire. It has a message:
you can be happy, and love the life, and be happy because all was
created by God.
Power of an instrument
6. I have a guitar one day long
A song from Bali, who wasn't able to play any chords on this instrument,
but bought a cheap guitar, found two chords on it, and just wrote
a song with these two simple chords. He plays on the guitar in this
song!
Power of prayer
7. Psalm 23.
The well-known words, and our music ...in five. Our guest is a wonderful
saxophone player, Bálint
Bársony, who improvised with us.
Power of the light
8. Let there be light
A song from the new CD for the ProChrist 2009. We've just made a vocal
for this song on that CD, but we felt like to make an arrangement
in a cappella. So this song is in English and German also.
Power of hope
9. Behind the curtain
The arrangement was written in remembrance of our friends, who went
forward, and we're just waiting for the meeting. Without lyrics, just
humming our hope.
Power of Józsi
10. Paganini: Moto perpetuo
Józsi (József
Lendvay) - our friend - is a huge Hungarian virtuoso of
the violin. He is the fastest violin player we've ever seen. We just
sing our accompaniment - in the new, jazzy style from Laci Bolyki
-, and he plays the tones of Paganini, like a machine, but please
attention onto his living music!
Our power
11. Our power
This is our testimony from Psalm 115.
Warning, it's not a cappella!
(We are wondering what's the opinion of Bill Gaither ;-)
